很多家长听到很多A-level、IB、AP，但是却不知道他们之间有什么区别，哪一种才是孩子较适合的国际课程。今天小编和大家聊一聊A-level、IB、AP三大国际课程体系的区别。

When we mentioned international curriculum, most parents know the popular curricula such as A-level, IB, AP, etc. However, they cannot tell the differences between these curricula. Today, we are going to introduce these three curricula in detail, as well as the significant differences.

01A-level课程

整体课程较简单，中国学生的黄金课程体系

A-level curriculum, the simplest and golden curriculum system for Chinese students

英国高中课程(英国高中学历证明)，是全球影响力较强、较古老的一种国际课程，申请英联邦国家的说服力非常强。A-Level相当于英国的11-12年级课程，许多国际学校现在也引入了IGCSE，即英国的中学的9-10年级课程，作为铺垫。A-Level较大的优点是打破了组别、文理科限制，学生可以自由选择科目，非常适合偏科(比如不擅长数学)的学生。

The British High School curriculum (UK High School Certificate) is one of the most influential and oldest international courses in the world, which is persuasive when applying for Commonwealth Nations. A-Level is equivalent to UK Senior School Grade 11-12, and many international schools now introduce IGCSE, Grade 9-10 in British secondary schools, as a supporting. The greatest advantage of A-Level is that it breaks down course-binding, like sciences courses and liberal arts, and students are free to choose subjects, so it particularly fits for student who favors some subjects and neglects some.

02IB课程

整体课程较难，培养学生综合能力，课业负担重同时有社会实践要求

国际高中课程(国际高中学历证明)，对英语要求较高，所有IBDP项目学生必须在规定的六个学科组中每组选一门课程进行学习, 6组是指中文、英语、人文社科、实验科学、数学计算机和艺术.

It is international high school courses (international high school certificates), with high requirements for English, all IBDP diploma program students must choose one subject from each subject group of Studies in language and literature, Language acquisition, Individuals and societies, Sciences, Mathematics and Art.

IB的学生不仅文科，理科甚至艺术的专业课都要学习，还要有大量的时间去完成各种论文和参加社会活动，所以IB对学生学习能力要求非常高。对于中国学生，从语言要求和学习方式的适应上来看，应该是“较难”的课程。IB students not only study literature, science and even the professional courses of arts, but also take a lot of time to complete a variety of papers and participate in social activities, so IB curriculum has a very high requirements on students’ ability. For Chinese students, from perspective of language requirements and adaptation to learning, definitely it is the "most difficult" curriculum.

03AP课程

属于锦上添花型课程，如考分不高则用处不大

不是高中课程，所以不具备高中学历证明，属于美国大学预修课程，是美国大学理事会提供的在高中授课的大学课程，目的是给一些优秀的学生提前学习大学课程，得到一定的成绩后可获得大学学分的机会。选修AP课程不仅可以展现学生的能力，它还是一种省钱的措施。虽然AP课程较初的设立是让一些优秀的学生上大学后节省时间和金钱，但是在国内一些学校开设了AP课程作为高中课程，以此成绩去申请美国的大学。

AP is not a high school course, so does not have a high school qualification certificate. It is the pre-Course of university which could be studied in high school, provided by the University Council of the university, the purpose is to give some outstanding students to study the university course in advance, to get college credit after obtaining a certain grade. Taking an AP course not only demonstrates the students' abilities, but also is a money-saving measure. Although the AP program was originally set up to save some time and money for some good students in college, some institutions offer AP courses as high school courses for students to apply to U.S. universities.
